Quick Start with TMQL - Create Connection Connection is file description (type, fields, name ...) stored as file with ".tmc" extension and used as a base for TextMaster queries to properly divide file lines into set of fields.

Create connection for SampleData.csv file

1. Open TextMaster (if you do not have TextMaster installed on your computer - download now)
2. Click or select File >> Query from main menu
3. Click Help>>Load Sample Data
4. Select C:\TMSampleData folder .

Screen should be similar to this one:


5. Click Connection >> New

 

6 - Select file or enter full file name into "File Name" field C:\TMSampleData\SampleData.csv

8 - Click "Save" button. Connection will be saved and the following prompt will pop up

9 - Click "Yes" and result will be like this
